Fishing Location
Sandspit and Rick’s Charters guest lodge are located on the east coast of Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands). Most fishing, however, will occur on the west coast in the area of Cartwright Sound following a 50 minute run through scenic Skidegate Channel, navigating the east and west narrows. The depth of water in these narrows are controlled by the tides and that determines the start and return time of each fishing day. You can expect to be on the water between six and twelve hours a day.
